Ok...it has been a while! My bad!

Wow I didn't realized it had been a month since I had blogged! Alot has happened since then. Ray has been back from Germany now for over a week. The kids were soooo happy to see him. They made a poster to take with them to the airport. It was so sweet! I has been nice having him back home!

Last Tuesday we had court for Jordyn to terminate mom's rights. Long story....but we didn't get in that day due to the case that was going on that morning (totally not involved with her in anyway) was still going on! SO...we are on for June now! We are still believing and praying for this to be over soon! I won't go into a lot of details on here for many reasons!

Ray still hasn't got to see Samuel play a Soccer game yet. The Saturday he got home the game was canceled due to the rain. Now they don't play again til next Tuesday. Next week we are going to take Samuel to the Y to let him see if he maybe interested in Swim Team. He took lessons last year and loved it. They open the team up to 4yr olds....so we are going to give it a try!

I am very worried about my little sister! She has pushed herself away from me.....as she often does! This hurts so much. Maybe part of it is my fault...cause I am so motherly to her. I just want her to do right and succeed in life. She is so easily influenced and that is very scary. Just remember her in your prayers.

We are in the middle of still trying to decide and get peace about buying/building. We sold our house 2yrs ago and was given my mother in laws single wide. We moved it to my parents land. Our goal was to save money and get debt free. Since then....now having 2children and not just the one..it is very tight! I feel like the walls are closing in on me some days! Just help us to pray to make the right decisions!

I hope everyone is excited about Easter! Remember that Jesus is NOT dead. He is ALIVE!

Lord I am amazed by YOU!

During the Worship service this morning I had one of those moments where the song we were singing really spoke to my spirit. As we sang.."How wide, how deep, how great, is your love for me! Lord I am amazed by YOU!" I was reminded of my wonderful little Samuel. He will often say, "Mommy (or Daddy) I love you deep!" and we will respond "and I love you wide".
Out of a mouth of a babe words spoken isn't that just like our God! A little life lesson from a child that didn't hit me til during a praise and worship song.
No matter what we do, Jesus still loves us! He loves us deep and wide! How awesome is that?? I think it is pretty awesome myself! Often I fail HIM, but he never lets me down.

We finally got the long awaited snow....in March! I do hate that Ray is missing Jordyn's first snow. We haven't played in it yet. We did walk in it next door to my parents but that was all. I am looking forward to playing in it some tomorrow with the kiddos. Samuel is beside himself to go sledding!

Continue to pray for us and Ray as he is still in Germany!

Whew I am tired!

First of all let me say that I admire those single parents out there! How do you do it? It is very hard being mommy and daddy! Very exhausting! It has almost been a week since Ray has been gone. 3 1/2 more weeks to go! What a week too!!! Samuel had the stomach virus, THEN Thursday nite he fell out hurt his pinkie finger. We thought maybe it was sprung or maybe fractured. Friday we went to have it xray-d and thankfully it was just really bruised. Now it isn't even swollen anymore. I thought to myself....lets just let everything happen while daddy is gone.

Friday nite I went to a friend's church's lady mtg. It was nice to get out and away for a little while. I am so thankful and blessed to the friends and family that has checked up on us this past week.

Tomorrow starts out 3day fast for the month! I am going to be focusing on this tpr/adoption on Jordyn. I am believing for things to be accomplished on the 31st of March. Please agree with me!

I am really tired and my thoughts are running together so I am going to cut this short!

Be Blessed!

Day two almost behind us...

Ray is settled in Germany now. We have done pretty good so far with him being gone. Samuel has been affected more this time with his daddy being gone then in the past. He says over and over "I miss Daddy, It's gonna be a long week before I see him, We don't have a daddy anymore, I am sad, I miss daddy". Those are some of the random comments he will make. He has never really mentioned Ray being gone when he has been on these trips for work before.
Samuel hasn't been sick anymore since yesterday morning thank the Lord. However, he still hasn't really ate a whole lot. Which I guess is ok....he is drinking really well. He had his first Soccer practice tonite. He wouldn't eat before we left. Afterwards we stopped at MickeyD's...which he normally sollows whole. He didn't eat any fries and only ate half a nugget. Said he wasn't really hungry. At least he didn't get sick.
He did fairly well at Soccer....Except for wanting to use his hands, lol. We got in the car and he said..."Mommy I had great fun". Then started with the statements about his daddy again. This is going to be one long month.
It appears that our atty is staying on top of things trying to get all the paperwork together hoping that we can have the Adoption hearing March 31 after the TPR is granted. I am PRAYING that this all falls into place.
It has been 11months that we have had Jordyn. It is amazing how far she has come. Her and Samuel were singing in the backseat this morning on the way to preschool. I was just taking it all in. Then they would giggle! It was just the most precious sound. I even forgot that I was stressed five min. prior b/c we were running late. I just LOVE being a mommy and love being able to be at home with him. I know sometimes I fell like pulling my hair and get stressed....but I wouldn't tried this time for anything.
It is getting late. I am going to call it a nite. I plan on posting some recent pics tomorrow...So check back! :)

O NO!

Don't you just love the joys of sick children? This past Wednesday Jordyn was sick with the stomach bug. Then this morning around 12:30a Samuel wakes me up saying that he had thrown up in his bed...I got up and got everything cleaned up. I gave him half a phenergen pill...not 30mins later he throws up again. So then I gave him a phenergen "that goes in his boo hinny" as Samuel says. He still threw up every hour till about 7:30a. Thank the Lord he has been fine since then. You wouldn't even know he has been sick. He has acted totally normal.
Samuel starts soccer this Tuesday with his first practice. Ray leaves Monday so this means he is going to miss the first several practices and games. He came home with Samuel shin guard today. He was so excited. He wore them about all day. He asked to sleep in them, but we told him no they had to be put away.
Ray is preaching tomorrow morning at church. He has an awesome word to bring. He said its going to be tough, but I know he will do fine. I am excited to see how the Lord is going to move in the service tomorrow in the lives of people.
He will leave for Germany Monday for about a month. We are going to miss him greatly.
Miss Jordyn is feeling better....back to her sassy self, lol. I guess she gets it honest.
I would ask for prayer for Ray has he brings forth the Word tomorrow. Also for his safety to Germany, while he is there, and back. Pray for us as well while he is gone!

It's been a while!......

I see that I am NOT a very good blogger! It has been 3weeks since I last blogged! I am up a little earlier today than normal. I am not much of a morning person, and like to sleep til the last minute that I have! Ray has already left for work and the kids are still sleeping. It is so quite in here I can hear them roll over.
It was not a very good day in this house yesterday. Samuel and I just didn't jive. He was in one of those "I am not going to listen to you today" modes. Before 11:00a he had already been in time out 3 or 4 times and then finally sent to his room @11:00a to rest...which he feel asleep. I hate days like that, cause I doubt myself as a parent. I wonder why can't I get my own child to listen to me. It is very frustrating. He was much better once he woke up thank the LORD.
Got some good news on Jordyn's case at the end of the day yesterday. The judge has granted the adoption hearing to be done with the TPR on March 31 as long as time permits! That was some awesome news! Now we pray that the case before hers will be smooth and hers will be "on-time".
Ray leaves for Germany next Monday. He is really excited about going back over there. I wish I could have gone for a week, but I didn't get my passport in time. I know, I know! I am hoping that the kids and I do fine for the month that he is gone. I know we will....I am just not a fan of "single parenting". I do not know how single mom and dads do it all the time.
Well I need to go dry my hair before I hear the sound of feet hit the floor!

No one will pray for my kids like I CAN!

Ezra 8:21-23 Tells us to FAST for our children! And it is up to us to pray for our children...don't leave that up to someone else to do.

This weekend we had a Pastors Retreat! Man, it was awesome! We did ALOT of praying and training. Friday nite we prayed for the next generation....our children, youth, college, and singles. I took some notes of what I heard the Lord speaking to my spirit.

As we are in this time of prayer for our next generation I feel the Lord saying, "Let it start with you first". Speaking to us as Parents and the church. As the saying goes "You are a product of your environment". That is not only true in "bad situations"m but also in "praying- God Fearing homes".

I remember growing up and going to my Papa and Nanny Mahaffey's house. It didn't matter the time of day or night you went over there. But, you would walk in and hear my Papa in the back room on the floor before the Lord in prayer calling out his family member's names. (Also along with friends and Pastor's names too). I want my children to "know" that we are that "home".

~Does my children hear me pray?

~Do they see me worship (Not just on Sunday's)?

~Do they see me live for Christ?

~Do my children see me ask for forgiveness/ Do they see me give forgiveness?

How can we pray for fire and thirst in them if we don't "practice" it ourselves?

That was what the Lord spoke to me during that time of prayer focused on the next generation! Man....talk about stepping on my toes? But, that is what I love about the Lord. He tells us like it us!!!!

On an update on Jordyn...she ended up getting ear infection and ruptured ear drum. She does seem to feel ALOT better...Thank the LORD!!!

Today is my birthday! I am excited this year that the Lord has given me another year. I am so blessed with my family and friends. I can not wait to see what this year holds!

Until next time.......

Here We Go.....

Well so far this cold season we have went really with any snotty noses. Well until now that is. Jordyn has had a cough since Monday....And now a snotty nose. I took her to the doctor this morning just to make sure she didn't have an ear infection or upper resp. inf. And yes it is just the "crud". We had to do a breathing treatment last nite and the doctor said she may still some til she kicks this cold. I also learned that a tsp of honey can be given for coughing.

Ray went back to work yesterday. Today he found out today that he does for sure go back to Germany in February.

Well I had laid the kids down and hoping that they will go to sleep today! I need some QUIET time!!!!

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord! We are in our 8th day of our 21day fast and we have seen today God MOVE! We had an answered prayer in regards to our adoption with Jordyn today! I won't go into alot of details in this blog today....we are just praising the Lord!

Yesterday I power went out due to the massive winds we having. A power line was knocked down. And yes we even had some damage from the wind! I seriously thought that a tornado was coming....but hey wouldn't you if a HUGE TRAMPOLINE had been slammed into the back of your mobile home! It was something else! We are very thankful for friends that opened their home to us last nite.

Tonite we enjoyed some nice fellowship with the Thomas Family. We very much enjoyed going to dinner with them.

Ray will return to work on Tuesday after being out of work since before Thanksgiving! It has been nice having him here....(at times, lol) But I think we are both ready for our normal routine(s).

I pray all is well with whom ever reads this! Remember us in your prayers!! God Bless!
